CLK Schools To Borrow $1.5 Million For Operating Expenses

CLK Schools are already getting ready for the start of the school year.

At their organizational meeting this week, the Board established their meeting calendar for the upcoming school year.

They also heard a presentation from Kathleen Harter and Lynette Webber from the Keweenaw National Historical Park on the Third Grade Historian Program at CLK Elementary School.

The Board approved the borrowing of $1.5 million for 2016-17 school operation purposes.

The administration was authorized to borrow the funds through the Notes in Anticipation of State School Aid or through a local depository.

The next regular meeting of the Board of Education will be on August 9th.
