Copper Country Autism Awareness Hosting 4th Annual Family Fun Day

Raising a child with autism comes with its own list of challenges.

One of those is simply being able to go out in public to enjoy the same things other children can.

Copper Country Autism Awareness is hosting the 4th Annual Family Fun Day tomorrow.

The event takes place at the Mine Shaft in Houghton from noon to 2pm.

Group member Michael Gilles says kids can come and just be themselves.

There will be arcade games, bowling, miniature golf, snacks and more!

It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to meet and share helpful advice and support but most of all a chance for the children to jump from one activity to the next at a pace that is comfortable and pleasing for them.

The event is sponsored by the Copper Country Elks Lodge #404 to offer local families that are directly affected by Autism a free day of fun for the whole family!
