Cub Scouts Hosting Local “Rocket Into Scouting” Events

The Copper Country is home to an active and growing chapter of the Cub Scouts and they have lined up some events to help introduce your child to scouting.

There are currently five Cub Scout packs in the area and they are hosting Rocket into Scouting, an evening where children six to ten years old and their parents can learn more about the scouts while also starting to build their very own rocket.

Hiawathaland District Executive Kevin Corkin talks about the event.

This event was recently held in Baraga and was a huge success.

For children in Houghton and Keweenaw counties, there will be two chances to come–tonight and Thursday at Hancock American Legion Post at 6:30pm.

Those in Ontonagon County can go tomorrow at 5:30pm at the Ontonagon Elementary School.
