The Michigan Department of Natural Resources has added seven new species to its unwanted acquatic invasive species list. The DNR has added stone moroko, zander, wels catfish, killer shrimp, yabby golden mussel and red swamp crayfish. The list now stands at 40 species. Also, rusty crayfish were moved from prohibited to restricted classification to allow for their limited possession for the purpose of destroying them for consumption, fertilizer or trash.
