Downtown Houghton Farmer's Market Opens Next Week

We are one week away from the opening of the Downtown Houghton Farmer’s Market.

The market will take be held Tuesdays from 3:30pm to 7pm in the open lot south of the U.P. Kids building.

The market will provide both the regional producer and consumer an organized place for the exchange of high quality and safe food.

The goals are to create a viable economic opportunity for producers, to promote and encourage the development of local small scale agriculture, and to provide educational opportunities in partnership with the Portage Lake District Library.

In turn the market will help promote and celebrate the downtown area.
