Early Apple Crop May Hold Sweet Surprise

Hot sun and little rain may lead to an early harvest for Michigan’s local apple crop.

MSU Horticulturalist Philip Schwallier says some apples are already ripening in July.

Schwallier says while the lack of rain may make the apples a little smaller, they will also be sweet, as will Michigan’s peaches, apricots and cherries.
