Presidential Candidates Pour Money Into Michigan TV Ads

The presidential candidates themselves won’t be in Michigan today, but family members or key backers will be.

Donald Trump Jr. will be campaigning for his father at Michigan State University and Grand Valley State University this afternoon.

Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders, who beat Hillary Clinton in the Michigan primary, will be campaigning for Clinton in Kalamazoo and Traverse City.

With a closer national race, Hillary Clinton is making plans to air TV commercials in typically Democratic Michigan and New Mexico.

Her campaign says it will spend more than $100,000 on TV commercials in each of the two states.

That announcement came shortly after Republican Donald Trump’s campaign said it would be advertising in those states.
