Emory Reaches Plea Agreement

A woman accused of two counts of home invasion has reached a plea agreement in Houghton County Circuit Court. Amelia Emory pleaded no contest to one of the two counts she was being charged with. The other charge will be dropped under the terms of her plea deal. The incident that she’s pleading no contest to occurred in Houghton. A home invasion charge from an incident in Hancock has been dropped. Emory’s attoryney Cassandra Talley stated that her client’s lack of memory of the event that took place in late November led her to the no contest plea. Her sentencing date will be scheduled in four weeks.
