One person is dead after a three-car accident in Delta County Monday afternoon. The Delta County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened just after 2 p.m. on U.S. 41/U.S. 2 near the intersection of I Road in Hyde. The preliminary investigation shows an eastbound vehicle may have crossed the centerline on the highway. Two people were taken to OSF St. Francis hospital for treatment of injuries. The accident is still under investigation, and the name of the victim has not yet been released.
