Hancock Police share an FBI scam alert for the Sault Ste Marie International Bridge.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has issued a warning for a bridge toll scam for the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge. Yesterday the FBI issued a warning to travelers making the community aware of an SMS texting scam for the International Bridge in Sault Ste Marie. The fraudulent text scam requests recipients pay for unpaid tolls. The Sault Ste Marie International Bridge Administration is not contacting customers via text. The IBA will send unpaid toll requests directly to registered emails of customers.
