Finlandia Professor’s Art to be Displayed at Embassy

A local professor is having her artwork displayed at an American embassy. Finlandia Professor Emerita Joyce Koskenmaki has recently been chosen for the Art in Embassies program by the U.S. Department of State. Four pieces were purchased for permanent installation in the American Embassy in Helsinki, Finland. The work is all large oil paintings, and includes pieces titled “Ghost Fish,” “Waterfall”, “Patchwork Birches,” and “Six Gold Birches.” She says she was surprised that they found her work and is honored to have it at the embassy in Finland.
