First-Ever Doghouse Race

The CopperDog 150 will kick-off tomorrow and go on throughout the weekend, but it isn’t the only thing going. Downtown Calumet will be full of events and activities on Saturday including the first-ever Doghouse race. To participate in the Doghouse Race, you must construct a doghouse following the Doghouse Race rules, which Race Organizer Heather Mikkola says are very open.

Each team must consist of one person riding in the doghouse with up to eight people pulling the doghouse. Also, cash prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Registration for the race begins at 11am Saturday. For a complete list of rules and details, head to the CopperDog 150 website.
