Florida Finns Gift Finlandia Foundation National $1M to Support Preservation Efforts at the Finnish-American Heritage Center

Florida Finns have donated 1 million dollars to the Finlandia Foundation National to support the preservation of Finnish American heritage in the Copper Country. The American Finnish Club of Lake Worth Florida, known as Kerhotalo has gifted the Finlandia Foundation National 1 million dollars to support the Saving Finland in America campaign launched to preserve cultural assets at the Finnish American Heritage Center.

With the donation, a portion will be set aside for the creation of the Kerhotalo Fund through FFN, to support scholarships, grants, and programs connected or relevant to the Finnish American Community and Florida. Many members of the Kerhotalo in Florida originally resided in the Upper Peninsula before moving to the Sunshine State.

Those interested in learning more about the Kerhotalo gift to the Finlandia Foundation National support preservation efforts at the Finnish American Heritage Center can find FFN’s full statement here.
