Gas Prices Jump Up

A new Triple-A Michigan survey shows that motorists are paying nearly a quarter more per gallon, on average, at the gas pump this week but the current statewide average of $2.96 per gallon is still about 97 cents less than this same time one year ago.

Of the cities surveyed by AAA for self-serve unleaded fuel, the lowest average price can be found in the Marquette area, where it’s about $2.73 per gallon.

The highest average price can be found in the Ann Arbor area, where it’s about $2.99 a gallon.
