Gas Prices Spiking In Michigan

The average price of a gallon of gas in Michigan rose 15 cents per gallon during the past week, according to Gasbuddy.com.

The statewide average as of late Sunday was $1.90 per gallon.

Gasbuddy surveys just under 5,000 gas stations in Michigan.

The national average rose only 6.8 cents per gallon during the past week and is now $1.81 per gallon.

Michigan’s average price is still more than 42 cents per gallon lower than it was a year ago.

Triple-A reports the lowest average price was found in Marquette, at $1.78 per gallon.

The highest average was found in Traverse City, at $1.96 per gallon.
