Gas prices are down a penny a gallon in Michigan this week.
AAA Michigan reports the current statewide average is about $2.71 per gallon.
That’s still about $1.23 less than this same time last year.
Of the cities surveyed by AAA , the cheapest price for self-serve unleaded fuel can be found in the Lansing/East Lansing area, where it’s about $2.61 a gallon.
The highest are in the Metro Detroit and Traverse City areas at about $2.77 a gallon.
