Gray Wolves Remain on Endangered Species List Despite 11th Hour Attempt to Remove Them

Gray wolves will remain on the endangered species list despite an 11th hour attempt to have them removed.

Some members of congress were hoping to work removing gray wolves from the endangered species list into a massive congressional tax and spending plan, but it didn’t make the cut.

State Representative Ed McBroom says Michigan should be managing its gray wolf population – not the feds.

He says removing the animal from the endangered species list wouldn’t create a free-for-all and decimate the wolf population again – just allow the state to control the population.

McBroom, and other state lawmakers, are also worried about the impact the growing wolf population is having on the shrinking deer population in the U.P.
