Group Pushing to Repeal Prevailing Wage Rakes in Cash

A group trying to circumvent the governor in repealing Michigan’s prevailing wage law has raised $1 million in the last month.

Protecting Michigan Taxpayers is currently collecting signatures.

If they get enough in the next 180 days then the legislature could repeal the law without the governor having a final say.

He doesn’t want to repeal prevailing wage, which requires workers on government funded projects be paid union wages and benefits.
