Hancock Let Run Policy Revised

Following last year’s historic winter, the city of Hancock has now adopted a revised version of the city’s winter water let run policy. The amendment involves putting into the city’s code the credit for let runs that the council approved in the spring of this year. The credit was being charged the wholesale rate for the water and sewer for those who ran over the 11,000 gallons that the city allows. City Manager Glenn Anderson says that is just one part of the revisions.

If you end up needing to run your water this winter to prevent pipes from freezing, be sure to contact the city before you do so.
