The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team says 17 people have been arrested on federal, state and tribal warrants. The warrants include a total of 48 counts related to the sale and distribution of narcotics in Baraga County. UPSET says the arrests are the result of a year-long joint investigation with the FBI’s Upper Peninsula Safe Trails Task Force and an agent from the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The names of the suspects are being withheld until after they’re arraigned, and UPSET says the investigation is ongoing.
