Income And Sales Tax Revenue As Road Funding Sources Explored

Another series of bills making up House Speaker Kevin Cotter’s road funding plan were aired before a special road funding committee Tuesday.

One of them would do away with the Earned Income Tax Credit, which was scaled back a few years ago.

Two others would call for moving new revenue from the state sales tax and income tax into a fund to pay for road and bridge repairs.

The Speaker believes he can pass his road funding plan by the end of June.
