Kingsford Murder Appeal Denied

Kingsford Murder Appeal Denied – May 22, 2014 – Todd VanDyke
A Kingsford man convicted of killing an elderly Stambaugh Township woman will remain in prison. 42-year-old David Levack is serving life without parole for the September, 2011 murder of 81-year-old Joyce Margaret Johnson. Johnson was scheduled to appear in court in Iron County that same day as a witness against Levack in a burglary trial. Instead, she was found strangled in her bathtub. Levack included a laundry list of arguments in his appeal… including errors by the judge and the prosecutor… along with ineffective assistance by his own legal counsel. The three-judge panel that reviewed the petition rejected them all. You can see their ruling here.
