Lake Wisconsin???

Is it an April Fool’s joke? An online petition was posted this morning, asking for support to change the name of Lake Michigan to… Lake Wisconsin. Quote… “We, the citizens of Wisconsin, feel it’s time for the Great Lake of Michigan to be renamed Lake Wisconsin. For too long Michiganders have gloated over Lake Michigan and their pretty sunsets. From now on, we will exclusively refer to it as Lake Wisconsin until every American joins us.” Good luck with that. Of course, it was just a couple of years ago that the bright lights south of the border wanted to make Wisconsin the “mitten state.” That didn’t fly, either. Look at the website here.
