Local Lawmakers Fight Against Energy Price Increases

Talks on the energy crisis continue and local lawmakers are coming together to fight the expected price increases on U.P. residents. State Representatives Ed McBroom and John Kivela as well as Senator Tom Casperson have introduced legislation demanding that the Federal Energy Regulatory Committee reverse its decision on how the costs of the Presque Isle Power Plant will be supported. If the bills are approved, copies of the resolutions will be sent to the FERC.
