2020 Census Deadline Less Than Two Weeks Away

With the deadline to fill out your 2020 Census form less than two weeks away, Michigan’s “Be Counted” campaign has released two new American Sign Language videos urging the state’s 740,000 deaf and hard of hearing residents to fill their form out.

According to the US Census Bureau, Michigan still has 800,000 people to fill out the form, which could wind up costing Michigan $24 Billion over the next decade.

Michigan’s deaf and hard of hearing population stands to benefit from any additional funding, which is why the videos were made for them.

Houghton County Complete Count Chair Glen Anderson.

It’s crunch time for the census workers and of course the bottom line is are they gonna be able to get to most or all of the addresses throughout the country, not just Houghton County? I’ve heard many reports that they are heading out and about for the last two months. They started the first week in August and will finish up the end of September, so really it’s been only a two month process.

If you haven’t already done so, a link to complete your 2020 Census Form is here
