All ladies invited to ‘Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful’ FREE Aspiring Women event

LAURIUM, Mich. – Aspirus Keweenaw invites all ladies to learn about caring for your birthday suit at Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful, another fun and fancy Aspiring Women event.

Your skin is your body’s largest organ and serves many life-sustaining functions. Many skin changes are just a normal part of aging, however, others can signal health problems.

At Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful, you’ll hear Aspirus Family Nurse Practitioners Shannon Handler and Trish Koskiniemi talk about caring for your birthday suit, normal skin aging, and common and not-so-common skin problems. Ladies will enjoy all of the fun Aspiring Women extras – tasty appetizers, complimentary gifts, raffles, a free cocktail token (regular and non-alcoholic beverages available), and more. Fancy attire is optional.

Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, October 8, in the Memorial Union Ballroom at Michigan Technological University. Advance registration is required to attend this free event. Reserve your spot by calling 337-6541.

Additional fun and fancy extras include Henna Tattoos by Rachel. Amora Wellness & Gifts of Laurium will also be there.

The Aspiring Women program is designed to inspire health and wellness through educational and entertaining events for women. Since Aspirus Keweenaw launched the program in May of 2016, membership has grown to over 750 women of all ages. Membership is free and includes invitations to events and free e-newsletters.
