Baraga County Has First Confirmed Case Of COVID-19

In a press release late this afternoon, the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department confirmed Baraga County has their first positive case of COVID-19.

The patient is a male, with a recent history of travel.

Due to privacy laws, no further information is available, but Kate Beer, from the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department explained what happens next.

To date, Michigan has 41,379 confirmed cases, with 3,789 deaths.

Michigan’s Western Upper Peninsula, now has seven confirmed cases, with one death.
