Body Recovered Near Rainbow Falls

Yesterday morning, approximately 4:40 am, Gogebic County Sheriff Deputies recovered the body of 22 year old Watertown, Wisconsin resident, Stephanie Narvaez.

She was hiking Saturday evening, with a companion in the Rainbow Falls area, when she slipped, fell into the water, and went over the falls.

Rescue efforts were unsuccessful, and it soon became a recovery effort.

Multiple agencies including the DNR, Michigan State Police Dive Team and Gogebic County Search and Rescue Team assisted in the search.
