Calumet Council to Hear About Theatre “Thermal Envelope” at Rescheduled Meeting Tonight

The Calumet Village Council could learn more tonight about how secure the thermal envelope of its historic village hall and theatre complex is.

U.P. Engineers and Architects is scheduled to make a presentation about the building’s thermal envelope. A thermal envelope is the structure that keeps the outside out, and the inside in – from major structures such as the roof and walls, to such relatively small factors as weatherstripping and caulking.

The council will also discuss the 9th Street project, and consider a demolition request for 411 8th Street.

Tonight’s meeting was rescheduled from last Tuesday, because of a lack of a quorum. It will begin at 6:30 at the village hall. See the full agenda here.
