Calumet Police Department Hiring A Full-Time Officer

The Village of Calumet is looking to add to its police department.

The village is now accepting applications for a full-time police officer, able to work various shifts including nights and weekends.

Applicants must be MCOLES certified and licensed to operate a vehicle in the State of Michigan to apply.

Village President Dave Geisler said the need for a full-time officer arose from the difficulty in hiring two part-time officers at 20 hours per week.

The village council then decided to hire one full time officer instead.

Applications are available at the Calumet Village Office or the Police Department and will be accepted until the position is filled.
