Cars & Trucks To Be Featured At 2019 Bridgefest

There is going to be a lot to do once again at next weekend’s Bridgefest celebration in Houghton and Hancock.

Kids are invited to come Touch-A-Truck, a family-friendly event designed to allow children to explore, climb, and touch vehicles of all shapes and sizes.

There will also be a meet and greet with Michigan Tech Huskies, rock painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, food and more at Keweenaw Chevrolet in Houghton on Saturday, June 15th from 9:30am-1:30pm.

The Keweenaw Classic Car Show will also be held at the same time at the Keweenaw Buick GMC in Hancock.

Registration is from 8:30 am to 9:15 am and T-shirts will be given to each car entry, and a trophy and prize will be awarded to the Best in Show.

The classic rock band “Rewind” will be playing live from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and the trophy will be presented at 1:00 pm.

Keweenaw Chevrolet and Keweenaw Buick GMC are the presenting sponsor for this year’s Bridgefest.

They will be moving more than 400 vehicles to the Copper Country Mall parking lot with special community pricing and free food and door prizes Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of Bridgefest.

The music lineup for this year includes The SuperSuits on Friday and Neverlund, Trevor Ohlsen, and Tom Katalin and Highway 41 performing on Saturday.

The Jon Davis Memorial Fireworks show begins at dusk near the Ray Kestner Waterfront Park in Houghton.
