Cases of COVID-19 In Michigan Reach 53

Michigan now has 53 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 Virus.

To date, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula still has no known cases, although several people from the Copper Country have been tested, and are awaiting results.

In other COVID-19 news, the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department has established a call center to assist the community in answering questions regarding the outbreak.

The call center is open from 8a-4p Monday through Friday until further notice.

Be advised the call center is not able to diagnose people who think they may have the illness.

If you experience symptoms such as coughing, fever and shortness of breath, please contact your primary care physician.
