Copper Country ISD Board Of Education Holds Monthly Meeting

The Copper Country ISD Board of Education held their first electronic meeting last night, and it went off without any problems.

Superintendent George Stokero informed the board that the State Board of Education listened to a presentation regarding the Supporting Kids Through radio project, which happens Monday through Friday at 8:40am on 97-7 The Wolf.

The project was inspired by FDR’s Fireside chats, made famous during the Great Depression and WWII, and features a local educator, reading a story to help keep students in touch with school.

Stokero stated so far, 31 teachers, administrators and other school employees from 7 districts, have signed up to be a part of the program.

There are also new learning opportunities on the district’s website
