New Board officers were chosen last night, at the Copper Country ISD monthly meeting.
Karen Johnson is the new president, Gale Eilola is the new Vice-President, Nels Christopher is the new treasurer and Dale Kero is the new secretary.
Board Trustees are Robert Loukus, Lisa Tarvainen and Tim Palosaari.
Superintendent George Stokero informed the board he is working with the health department and school superintendents, to come up with preparedness plans for the new school year.
President Johnson appointed Gale Eilola, Nels Christopher and Lisa Tarvainen to the REMC Policy Board.
Tim Polasaari will serve as an alternate.
The Board appointed President Karen Johnson as the district’s voting delegate to the Michigan Association of School Boards Delegate Assembly, with Dale Kero as the alternate.
The Board also awarded the bid for a roofing project to Lake State Roofing.
