The annual Copper Country Rock and Mineral Show returns to the Houghton Elementary School this weekend.
The event features gems, minerals, rocks, jewelry and historic mining stock certificates from the Keweenaw and around the world.
There will be grab bags for kids, and opportunities for them to search for copper with a metal detector.
Mexican geodes will be available, and will be split open upon purchase.
The show is open today from 1:00 to 8:00; Saturday from 10:00 to 6:00; and Sunday from 11:00 am to 3:00.
