County Commissioner Holding Public Office Hour

County commissioners represent the residents within their districts, so setting aside time to meet with them is important to understanding their needs.

Houghton County Commissioner Gretchen Janssen understands that so she will be holding a public office hour this Saturday at the Portage Lake District Library.

Janssen said, “This was a campaign promise I made and I feel like this is a great opportunity to not only meet the residents of Houghton County, but also give them an opportunity to ask questions and give input.”

Janssen represents the city of Houghton but will be available to meet with all Houghton County residents in an informal setting from 2:00-3:00pm.

She plans on holding these public office hours quarterly with the next session in May.
