COVID-19 Rates Remain Low Locally

COVID-19 rates continue to be low in the region.

The latest weekly report from the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department shows 39 new confirmed cases across the five-county area, with 25 in Houghton County, and six in lightly-vaccinated Baraga County.

One death was reported in Ontonagon County.

Officials caution that the number of cases is probably under-reported, since the results of at-home tests are not included. See the latest report here.
