Two people are safe after being helped out of their burning residence in Kearsarge.
The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the call of a structure fire just before 1:30 this morning on Second Street.
Deputies helped the two residents get out the house.
The fire was put out by Calumet Township Fire Department with help from Laurium Village Fire Department and the Michigan State Police.
