Drug Suspect Sentenced To Three Months In Jail

A Grand Rapids man accused of selling drugs in the Houghton area was sentenced in Houghton County Circuit Court.

19 year-old Jon David Ettinger was sentenced Friday to three months in Houghton County Jail and will be credited for the 38 days he has already served.

After his sentence, he will serve a two year probationary period with HYTA.

Ettinger pled guilty to one charge of the delivery of marijuana. Two additional drug charges and a trespassing charge were dropped in exchange for the guilty plea.

UPSET detectives arrested Ettinger in February after seizing marijuana packaged for distribution and prescription medication suspected of being altered with acid during two warranted searches.
