There are several offices in Houghton County up for election this November.
To hear from the candidates for some of the top positions in the county, the League of Women Voters of the Copper County and the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Candidates Forum and Voter Registration Information event.
The forum will be held at the Lakeview Manor Community Room Thursday, September 29th from 6 to 8pm.
Included in the forum will be candidates for Houghton County Prosecuting Attorney, Houghton County Sheriff and Districts 1, 2 and 5 on the Houghton County Board of Commissioners.

The candidates will be asked questions on issues of concern to county residents and audience members will be given time to ask questions as well.
They will also have voter registration information available, including how to get an absentee ballot, and someone will be available to answer questions.
