Giving Day Continues At Finlandia

Finlandia’s inaugural Giving Day is in full swing, featuring events online and on campus while raising money for college textbooks.

Coordinator of External Relations Olivia Myers says there are a number of other ways alumni can give back.  “Such as the Alumni Mentor Program, the Alumni Advocates Program, or being a guest speaker in a class or for our Taste of Success presentations that we have, so if you go to Finlandia.edu/givingday, you can learn all about the different ways you can give back.”

The Alumni Board pledged to match the first $2,000 donated for the Textbook Award.

“The idea right now is that the first $10,000 raised will go to that Textbook fund, and then afterwards the Alumni Board is going to take a moment to just see do they want to put the rest of that money towards there, but we really don’t know how much we’re going to raise because we’ve never done this before,” said Myers.

Giving Day continues until noon Thursday.
