Governor Whitmer Extends Executive Order

Governor Whitmer has extended the executive order, aimed at protecting the vulnerable populations at congregate care facilities.

The extended order also requires employees to wear a face covering, while at work.

Whitmer said she knows this is a difficult time, but that we must continue our efforts to slow the spread of the virus.

Like the previous order the new one replaced, visitors who are non-essential to providing care are not allowed into  healthcare facilities, residential care facilities and juvenile justice facilities.

The extended order also requires health screening, before entering any facility covered by the order.
