Governor Whitmer To Visit UP In February

Upper Peninsula residents will get their first chance to meet new Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Lieutenant Governor Gilchrist since they were elected in November.

The state leaders will be hosting a series of “Whitmer Winter Warmup” events throughout Michigan…including one on February 16th in Marquette.  The event will be held at the UP Children’s Museum from noon to 2:00pm.

Governor Whitmer will also be holding a book drive at these free family-friendly events.  Attendees are encouraged to bring a new or gently used book to the event.  All books received will be donated to local charities and organizations respective to each area.

All children attending the Whitmer warm-ups will also receive a free book as a gift for attending.
