Grant Supports Local Hockey

More than $3,000 has been awarded to two local organizations supporting youth ice hockey programs throughout the Copper Country Junior Hockey Association territory.

That announcement comes from the Copper Country Youth Hockey Endowment Advisory Committee of the Keweenaw Community Foundation.

The grant recipients are Team Copper Country to help sustain the future of the program and keep the costs down for participating families and Charter Township of Calumet to purchase a handicapped sled for a handicapped sled hockey team.

The grant was made through the Copper Country Youth Hockey Endowment Fund.

KCF welcomes partnerships in the Foundation and urges interested parties to share this information with their constituents and all sub-groups within their organization. Tax deductible contributions may be made to the Copper Country Youth Hockey Endowment Fund (or to any of KCF’s 80+ other funds) online at www.keweenawgives.org.
