Hancock Man Arraigned on Child Porn Charges

A Hancock man has been arraigned on charges of possessing child pornography.

Michigan State Police Computer Crimes detectives arrested 32-year-old Justin Henry-Allen Covert on Wednesday. He appeared in court Friday, and was charged with three counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity, three counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity possession and six counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

Covert was issued a $100,000 bond, cash or surety.

The investigation stemmed from a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Cyber Tip. Further investigation led to locating a residence in the city of Hancock where Covert lives. A search warrant of the home netted multiple internet capable devices and evidence. Covert was arrested without incident.

If you have information regarding possible child sexual exploitation, report it to the CyberTipline.
