Hancock Man Arrested For Allegedly Stealing A Saw Zall From Construction Workers

On Tuesday around 11:45 a.m., the Hancock Police were flagged down in regards to a theft complaint on Quincy Street.

A witness pointed out a 56 year old man walking west on Quincy Street.

The witness said that the man had picked up a construction worker’s Saw Zall off the side walk and then placed the saw inside his jacket.

The 56 year old man from Hancock was identified as the suspect in this case and the Saw was recovered from on his person without incident.

The suspect was arrested at the scene by the Hancock Police Department.

A warrant for the charges were obtained from the Houghton County Prosecutor on the date of incident.

Saw Zall was valued at approximately $300.00 and was returned to the construction company.

Suspect is currently lodged in the Houghton County jail.
