Hancock Public Schools Foundation Awards $66,000 To Support Programming

The Hancock Public Schools Foundation has awarded $66,000 to support programming for the 2021 school year.

This from an email sent to parents.

The money includes $6,800 for the Title 1 program, to provide extra support for reading, writing and math, for kindergarten through 5th grade students.

Close to $18,000 is going to Vex Robotic Classroom Kits for kindergarten through 4th grade students, which will allow students to build and program robots and learn coding.

Other programs benefiting from the funding include the school library, and the Portage Lake District Library, which is receiving $15,000.

Parents also received a survey, looking for feedback on how to safely return to school in the Fall.
