Hancock Woman Killed In Weekend Crash

A Hancock woman is dead following a rollover accident Sunday night.

The Ontonagon Sheriff’s Department says the accident happened around 7:30 p.m.

29-year-old Mandy Kela was driving northbound on U.S. 45 when she lost control of the vehicle.

Her vehicle reportedly spun 180 degrees and hit a ditch, where the tires of the passenger side of the vehicle dug in and sent the vehicle into a barrel roll.

Kela was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown through the driver’s side window.

The vehicle then rolled over Kela causing her death.

Speed and alcohol were contributing factors to the accident.
