Help Available For Replacing Flood Damaged Appliances

As cleanup efforts continue in the aftermath of the devastating storm that affected the region Sunday morning, utility customers may be replacing appliances that were damaged by the storm.

“Customers are encouraged to consider energy efficient replacements and claim the benefits of the financial incentives we offer,” said Brett French, Vice-President of Business Development and Communications for UPPCO. “Our Energy Waste Reduction program offers a variety of rebates and incentives for residential customers that purchase new energy efficient space heating and cooling equipment, heat pump hot water heaters, and ENERGY STAR rated appliances. We also offer rebates for new energy efficient equipment that is purchased by our commercial and industrial customers.”

UPPCO also offers a no-cost appliance recycling service to residential and small commercial customers. Additional information and application materials for the rebates and appliance recycling service can be found online at UPPCO.com. Commercial or Industrial customers that are interested in participating in the Energy Waste Reduction program should contact their Account Executive.

“UPPCO’s program is intended to make your home or business more comfortable and energy efficient while also providing a financial benefit along the way,” said French. “When you replace your older equipment and appliances with new energy efficient models, you are effectively lowering your electrical usage and your monthly utility bills.”

Rebate applications are available at UPPCO.com in the Your Home section.
