Houghton County And Lake Linden Respond To House Fire

Yesterday afternoon approximately 1pm, the Houghton County Sheriff’s Department responded to a reported oven fire, at 247 Second Street in Lake Linden.

The Lake Linden Fire Department discovered the source of the fire, which was a dryer, that was full of lint.

The family of 7 was put up in a hotel for the night, thanks to the Pigs ‘n’ Heat Fund.

The family members were screened for smoke inhalation, by the Bootjack Fire Department.
